Ashley Stettes - Assistant Director

Ashley Stettes is a recent Summa Cum Laude graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Minor in Fine Arts Entrepreneurship. In addition to her many accomplishments, she was named the Outstanding Dance Senior of her class! She is excited to have returned to the St. Louis area and to be the Assistant Director at Devine Performing Arts! Aside from teaching, Ashley is working as a professional dancer with two St. Louis companies: Ballet 314, and Leverage Dance Theater. During her time at SEMO, Ashley had the opportunity to perform a variety of styles including ballet, modern, jazz, pointe, and tap. She has also been cast by several guest choreographers including Brenna Monroe-Cook from the Limon Company, Cesar Salinas from Giordano Dance Chicago, Jeremy Plummer and Taylor Mitchell. She has had several opportunities to perform at outside venues including performances at St. Louis' National Dance Week Celebration, St. Louis' Grand Center Dance Festival and at the American College Dance Association. Aside from being a performer, Ashley has had her choreography presented in both main stage and second stage shows at SEMO. She was also selected to set a piece on a group of incoming freshman her junior year and set a piece on some students at the university's first ever dance intensive. Ashley has attended several summer intensives, conferences, and master classes to help further her training. Ashley is a proud member of NDEO and graduated with dance honors through the National Honor Society of Dance Arts. Beyond that, she was a member of the Stephens Honors College and two other honor societies on campus: Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma.
